I'm writing to ask that lipedema be part of how [your city/district] approaches health equity. The condition affects an estimated 11% of women and is almost never diagnosed correctly. Women living with it are routinely told to manage their weight for a condition that doesn't respond to weight management. The result is years of delayed care, unnecessary suffering, and preventable cost to the healthcare system. This is a well-documented gap with a known name. I'd welcome a conversation about where local policy can help close it.
